The philosophical thrust of Off Center productions is issue-oriented plays which inform and instruct, as well as entertain.

Each production serves as a form of “infotainment.” Each production distributes information relevant to local audiences; they are poetic as well as illuminating.

Off Center Theatre is one of the first theatre companies to bring free theatre to the streets of New York City.

Programs and activities included are: episodic series, television series, street and theatre performances, concerts, workshops, children’s theatre, and experimental theatre.
